The MEDI 8, like all our products in the Medi series, is equipped with a G3-Hepa-Carbon and UV-C filter. The MEDI 8 is stylish and very compact. The round display provides all the necessary information, such as air quality, the position of the fan and the humidity. The MEDI 8 is easy to operate with the push buttons on the machine and / or a remote control. If the particulate matter content is too high in the room, the ring of the display changes color to blue, green, orange and red (a lot of dust), and the machine itself reacts in terms of air speed and capacity.
The maximum capacity of the MEDI 8 is 800 m³ per hour and is suitable for all types of spaces. Here you can think of meeting rooms, classrooms, nurseries, daytime activities, office spaces. actually too much to mention.
For the calculation of the correct cleaner from the Medi-series in a normal utility room (not in a train-tram, bus or plane *) we use the rule that we want to refresh the entire room every 15 minutes.
We calculate the capacity as follows: LxWxH
(space volume) x 4 (L length, W width, H height)
This gives the capacity of the air purifier to be used in the Medi-series.
An upward margin of about 20% is desirable.
All air purifiers in the MEDI series work according to the same principle.
We set the air in motion by means of a fan. The air goes back into the room through a coarse filter (G3-G4), HEPA main filter (H10-H13), carbon filter and UV-C filter. The combination of a HEPA filter with a UV-C filter gives a filtration of 99%, for dust as well as bacteria & viruses.
The recirculation system per room has many advantages over ventilation.
All dust and bacteria are removed.
No more problems with pollen / harmful substances that enter through an open window.
The temperature in the room remains as it is; no hot or cold air enters.
Of course it is important that ventilation is provided, but that is also possible after the space has been used.

About UV radiation: There are three types of UV radiation: UV-A, UV-B and UV-C. The A with UV-A stands for "aging", because it mainly causes skin aging.
