This activated carbon filter has been developed for deodorization and control of organic gases, dusts and the like arising from wood smoke, hydrocarbon solvents, VOC, chlorine and ozone.

How does activated carbon work?
Activated carbon is like a sponge with holes of different sizes. Depending on the size of the odors to be captured, a type of activated carbon is selected with the right amount of pores for capturing odors.

To extend the life of the carbon filter, there is a replaceable pre-filter HQ 604. The pre-filter captures larger dust particles, resulting in a longer filter life. We recommend replacing the pre-filter every 3 months because the active carbon is very sensitive to dust. Without the use of a pre-filter, the carbon filter would become clogged, which reduces its lifespan.
